I’ve said before that I never assume that anyone would want to eat the way I do so I have never created a meal plan as such. Even so, guidelines are helpful and seeing what others eat can inspire us – so I put together a short list of resources that I have found helpful over the years and that you may find helpful as well.
There are thousands of menu planning resources out there so feel free to share your favorites so we can all find what works for us.
There are many ways to eat lower carb – I have included keto here too. Depending on our lifestyle choices and our metabolisms (remember, each of us are individuals so there are no perfect formulas) one menu plan or diet style may be better for us than another. Therefore, I’ve included a variety of low-carb categories and resources for each so you can choose what is best for you.
Very low carb and ketogenic diets are all over the place. Many of them are very cheese heavy so just beware also depending on your goals you may not want to eat as much fat as some of them advocate for.
If you’ve read any of my macronutrient spotlight articles, you will know that I encourage you to prioritize protein rather than fat. Remember this in your menu planning!
Low carb but not keto focused
I also have a few Pinterest boards that you may find helpful. These can give you visual inspiration, but also provide you ideas on how to keep you menu interesting while remaining healthy and working for your own diet and lifestyle.
Let me know what resources you have found the most helpful and please do share resources that you have found that are not listed here. Community is key to success in your health and wellness journey and sharing resources is just the start!
